You know it really was not that long ago that the standard treatment for most diseases (both acute and chronic) was some combination of blood letting and mercury.
Especially when someone was acutely ill, most doctors in the 1800′s and early 1900′s would recommend that combination. Sometimes the patients even recovered from this! But only sometimes.
It was an all-out attack against nature.
Yes, we have come a long way since then–we now have a tremendous array of pharmaceuticals that can be taken with relative ease and safety. But the approach is still the same–attack, attack, attack.
In contrast to this approach is a more supportive approach that seeks to work WITH nature and not against nature.
Getting “sick” is a part of being human and living. The more we try to work with nature and not attack nature, the more successful we will be. Always.
